For the 50th wedding anniversary of Charlotte & Charlie on June 27, 2003. 

In the Salzburg cathedral
many feasts have been celebrated.
One of the most beautiful feasts no doubt
was the wedding of Charlotte & Charlie. 

The days were still tainted by the war
and the cathedral's dome was reduced to rubble
but it was the start of a beautiful union
and it showed that out of misery, happiness can grow.

The Yes sounded loud & happy through the room
with tears of joy
Erlmoser & Mueller became a pair
this all happened 50 years ago. 

On June 27, 1953 Charlie Mueller took
Charlotte as his wife.
America was calling Charlie, &
Charlote followed him in faithfulness. 

She followed him in love and God blessed this dedication anew.
Three girls and a boy brought life into their house
and they each became wonderful persons. 

Many trials followed which everyone 
here can understand. 
But they did not throw in the towel
but spoke to each other instead.

The towel here, wrapped in gold, 
will remind you of happy & difficult hours. 
These 50 gold stars are a symbol of 50 years
of faithfulness and love
and will guide you on your way anew. 

So you see it is possible for two people
to stay together if they
trust in each other. 

We wish them many more years of health & happiness, 
and hope they will remember this day
and our friendship.
