Mali's Garlic Soup

• 1 heaping Tbs. flour
• 1-2 T. butter
• 1 bouillon cube (large kind)
• a little pepper
• bay leaf
• 6-8 pressed cloves of garlic
• 1/4 cup cream (more if you like)
• croutons

Brown flour in butter. Add 3 cups water and bring to a boil then add the bouillon cube and the pepper, the bay leaf and the garlic. Let come to a boil again and cook a few minutes. Add the cream - do NOT boil.

Serve with croutons on top!
